Cross the Buffalo Reserve only during opening hours
One of the highlights on the KK400 route is the Kapolnapuszta Buffalo Reserve, but riders can only pass through it during the reserve's official opening hours. Plan your stage timing accordingly.
We designed the KalandKör400 route so that attractions and interesting stop points are within easy reach. One of these is the Kápolnapuszta Buffalo Reserve, where it is definitely worth taking a short walk on the nature trail, not only because of the huge buffalo.
We hope most riders completing the KK400 are happy to make time for this program, but we also know there are performance-oriented cyclists who just want to pass through the area quickly. However, the reserve is a protected nature area, and it is not possible to designate a bypass path; crossing is only possible during opening hours and with an admission ticket.
You can check the park opening hours on the National Park website. Thanks to the operators, a discounted "cyclist transit ticket" is also available. Please note that the ticket office closes half an hour before the end of opening hours, so plan your ride accordingly.
