Please read: verify your ride via Strava or photos

Dear KK400 riders, we know that in 2025 system issues and constantly shifting mobile coverage sometimes meant finished rides were not validated automatically. We want to make sure genuine finishers are not left out.

We tried to place the 46 QR codes so they can be scanned easily, but due to terrain conditions, and because coverage maps and mobile signal from different providers are constantly changing, phone scanning does not always work. Until we can guarantee automatic completion verification based on QR codes or GPX upload, we recommend that in addition to the previous practice you also record your KK400 completions on Strava (Garmin or another verifiable platform), or take photos at the posted QR codes.

Important! Do this not instead of the previous QR code scanning method, but in addition to it, just to be safe in case our system does not work.

In detail, you can read about recording sections here.

If elapsed time matters to you and you already use Strava, we recommend recording the KK400 on Strava as well. If the system does not verify all 12 sections at the end, completion can then be easily checked when submitted by email.

If elapsed time matters less to you, or you do not use navigation, take a photo of yourself (your bike, bottle, anything) with the QR code signs; the key is that it is clear you completed the sections.

Using the above, we can easily verify anyone's completion of the KK400 loop, manually add anyone to the finishers list, and mail the medal.

It is important to note that you should primarily try GPX upload and QR scanning; it is worth doing the above “just to be safe.” Please do not try to verify individual section completions this way by email, only when you have completed the full loop.

Have a great ride, tailwinds, and we apologize for any inconvenience; we are working on a better system-level solution.
